This past January 17th, Universidad de Chile hosted the 2nd Congress of Education & Pedagogy (CEDUP 2025), which reunited multiple investigators at the numerous institutions across the country to reflect on current challenges in the Education System. At this event, the English pedagogy program was represented by Dr. Sandra Pérez, who, together with the Director of the Gender Office at the University, Cristina Pérez, and a graduate of the program and current Master’s student at Pontificia Universidad Católica ofnone Valparaíso, Marcela Lobos, presented an investigation addressing the argumentative discourse from a gender perspective. Participation in this congress reinforces the commitment of the English Pedagogy Program’s academic community to research and making of situated knowledge, promoting an inclusive and critical approach to the study of the language and education. We congratulate our representatives for their valuable contribution and active participation in this important academic gathering.
