LITERATURE IN THE CLASSROOM
DESCRIPTION:

This curricular activity contributes to the student graduate profile by providing the student with the theoretical bases of the teaching of literature so that he/she can appropriate the methodological tools and take literature to the classroom in order to achieve both the comprehension of literary texts and to awaken the interest and taste for literature.

In this way, he or she contributes to the Disciplinary Professional Practice 1.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

LO1 Students reflect on the role of evaluation in the educational system, as an element of power in the curriculum and in politics, as well as in the educational institutions, especially in classroom interaction. Assuming an informed, responsible and ethical perspective to arrive at a valid evaluation of individual and group learning.

LO2 Students situate, theoretically and historically, the different paradigms and curricular trends and their influence on evaluation. They connect them with fundamental perspectives on teaching and learning and recognize them in both their pedagogical practices as well as in the practices of others; keeping in mind that all students learn at different paces and in different ways.

LO3 Students design diverse evaluation instruments. Integrating differential education in their designs; taking into account aspects of validity and reliability, etc. by critically evaluating these designs.


TEACHING METHODS:

Directed and semi-directed class: teacher explains concepts and formulates questions.

The topics of the course will be approached from an inductive perspective.

Case studies.

Individual and group work.

Students are expected to reflect on specific examples, either from their own experiences school experiences; from what they observe in their practice and classroom contexts, as well as from current or past cases presented by the teacher, which they will analyze critically.
