INTONATION, COHERENCE AND COHESION
DESCRIPTION:

This module aims to provide students with macro and micro skills to understand and produce oral and written text. Students will learn the essential elements of phonology, semantics, and syntax to become teachers of English (EFL). There is an emphasis on students’ social and cultural context.


LEARNING OUTCOMES:

By the end of the module, students should

1. be able to show oral fluency at a phonological, lexical and syntactic level

2. be able to acquire and develop phonetic memory;

3. be able to use familiar vocabulary in order to communicate at Level B1;

4. be able to identify different syntactic and grammatical structures at Level B1.

Lectures, collaborative work, problem-solving activities, projects, presentations
