ENGLISH IN MASS MEDIA AND DIGITAL CULTURE
DESCRIPTION:

This curricular activity contributes to the graduate profile in the third semester by providing students with the development of an intermediate repertoire, at B1 level, of linguistic elements and strategies that will allow them to address issues related to mass media and digital culture. The origin, evolution and relationship between the two will be explored. 

This curricular activity also contributes to the development of the integral training competencies: Quality orientation.


LEARNING OUTCOMES:

By the end of the module, students should be able to

Identify the types, characteristics and functions of mass media in relation to education using B1 level linguistic resources.

Examine the elements that make up Digital Culture and its impact on education, using B1 level language resources.

Analyses the evolution and projection of mass media and digital culture in relation to the educational field, using B1 level language skills.


TEACHING METHODS:

Task-based work, case-studies, problem-solving activities, project work, presentations.
