EDUCATIONAL POLICIES IN CHILE AND PEDAGOGICAL THINKING
DESCRIPTION:

This is a professional training course in the area of Pedagogical Education and Training, with a theoretical and methodological basis, which seeks the critical understanding of educational policies and the construction of a framework of interpretation and collection of evidence necessary for the analysis of these. At the same time, it is oriented to problematize the existing relationships between the development of pedagogical thinking and educational policies as logics historically constituted in the dynamics of the global and national socio-political context; also comparative, from which the educational requirements that societies demand from the system emerge, as well as the state of progress and results of the main proposals, projects and programs of innovation in education and curriculum that have been implemented in the national context.


LEARNING OUTCOMES:

LO1 By the end of the module, students should be able to identify educational problems based on the observation and analysis of educational policies in the daily social space in order to identify the challenges of intervention.

LO2 Students should be able to apply conceptual and methodological tools to problematize the operating factors and mechanisms of ideological operation in the different spheres and levels of intervention of educational policies and at a comparative level.

LO3 Students should be able to establish relationships between the main guidelines that have shaped educational thinking and reforms, in order to understand the demands and challenges that educational systems have faced over time.

Professor presents concepts, ideas, matrices, and formulates problem solving questions.

Reading tasks.

Final monographic work.

Defense of monographic work.
