DRAMA AND POETRY
DESCRIPTION:

This curricular activity contributes to the graduate profile by seeking to awaken in the student the pleasure of enjoying the linguistic details expressed in the connotations of the words conjugated in the verses of a poem; and also to perceive and interpret the expressive qualities in a verse, a stanza and a complete poem. It is also intended that the students read plays with special attention to the elements of the performance, which will allow them to recreate in their mind the characters, the plot, the intention, the characterization, among other elements that will enhance the perception of these representations of human life.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

By the end of the module, students should

  1. Develop aesthetic skills for the understanding, analysis and appreciation of poetic, artistic and literary forms of expression, being aware of the value of poetry in the personal process.
  2. Develop aesthetic skills for the understanding, analysis and appreciation of theatrical works, recognizing elements that make up theatricality, developing the value of dramatic expression.

TEACHING METHODS:

Task-based learning, collaborative work, role plays, drama montage.
