DISCOURSE ANALYSIS
DESCRIPTION:

The purpose of the course is to provide students with theoretical and practical tools for the development of learning assessments and the interpretation of their results.

The fundamental concepts that allow the implementation of different evaluative approaches will be addressed,  analyzing the role of evaluation in the teaching and learning process for decision-making.

Evaluation instruments relevant to the national curricular framework will be designed,  as well as differentiated evaluation strategies.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

LO1 Students reflect on the role of evaluation in the educational system, as an element of power in the curriculum and in politics, as well as in the educational institutions, especially in classroom interaction. Assuming an informed, responsible and ethical perspective to arrive at a valid evaluation of individual and group learning.

LO2 Students situate, theoretically and historically, the different paradigms and curricular trends and their influence on evaluation. They connect them with fundamental perspectives on teaching and learning and recognize them in both their pedagogical practices as well as in the practices of others; keeping in mind that all students learn at different paces and in different ways.

LO3 Students design diverse evaluation instruments. Integrating differential education in their designs; taking into account aspects of validity and reliability, etc. by critically evaluating these designs.

TEACHING METHODS:

Directed and semi-directed class: teacher explains concepts and formulates questions.

The topics of the course will be approached from an inductive perspective.

Case studies.

Individual and group work
