DEVELOPING RECEPTIVE SKILLS IN EFL
DESCRIPTION:

This module aims to develop student-teachers’ capacities to facilitate their development of knowledge and skills to implement the teaching and learning process required to develop receptive skills in English as foreign language learning, using collaborative learning as a problem-solving tool for daily work.


LEARNING OUTCOMES:

By the end of the module, students should be able to

  1. analyze and evaluate the methodological principles underlying the design of activities for the development of English listening comprehension in themselves and in their future high school students.
  2. analyze and evaluate the methodological principles underlying the design of activities for the development of English listening comprehension in themselves and in their future high school students;
  3. apply knowledge about the development of receptive skills in adapting, planning, and evaluating teaching sequences specifically designed for microteaching sessions.

TEACHING METHODS:

Task-based work, case-studies, problem-solving activities, project work, presentations.
