CITIZEN IDENTITY AND SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT
DESCRIPTION:

This curricular activity contributes to the graduate profile by providing students with the development of a B2 level of linguistic elements and strategies that allow them to address communicative situations related to issues of citizenship and social engagement to incorporate them in their pedagogical work in the teaching of English as a foreign language.

This curricular activity includes a final integrative evaluation with Materials Design for Teaching Integrated Skills and Reflective Practice: Disciplinary Didactic Interaction II.


LEARNING OUTCOMES:

By the end of the module, students should

  1. Analyze concepts related to the subject of study in order to identify the social problems of the environment using a B2 level of linguistic competence.
  2. Evaluate the social and cultural reality of the national and local environment in order to identify needs that the future teacher will face using a B2 level of linguistic competence.
  3. Critique experiences from diverse contexts where the topics of study are addressed compared with the national context using a B2 level of linguistic competence.

TEACHING METHODS:

Task-based learning, collaborative work, essay writing, case studies, written reports.
