ENGLISH AND REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT
DESCRIPTION:

This module aims to develop students’ cognitive strategies that enable them to reach an advanced level of English, so that they can effectively provide and request meaningful information orally and in writing, comprehensibly read authentic texts, critically analyze media information, acquire vocabulary for specific purposes, and develop academic-level writing skills.


LEARNING OUTCOMES:

By the end of the module, students should be able to

  1. analyze local and regional reality, expresss opinions on relevant topics for regional development, and identify needs at local level, demonstrating a linguistic competence level of C1, according to CEFR. 
  2. identify needs in relevant topics for the local and regional context, proposing solutions to address them collaboratively in conjunction with other stakeholders.
  3. evaluate and reflect on the implementation of proposals to address needs in relevant topics for the local and regional context, with a linguistic competence level of C1

Serving-learning methodology, collaborative work, and project work.
