EDUCATIONAL CONTEXTS IN THE WORLD
DESCRIPTION:

This module aims to provide students with linguistic knowledge of the English language and strategies to allow them to communicate in a university context at Level A1.

This subject aims to provide the students with linguistic knowledge in order to develop English language skills at intermediate level (B1), through the discussion of topics related to education in Chile and the rest of the world.


LEARNING OUTCOMES:

By the end of the module, students should

  1. Be able to identify and classify the different educational contexts using linguistic elements that belong to a B1 level of English development.
  2. Be able to identify the advantages and disadvantages of the different contexts in relation to educational issues at B1 level.
  3. Be able to analyze how these educational contexts influence the treatment of educational issues at B1 level

 


TEACHING METHODS:

Collaborative learning, role-play activities, oral presentations, writing assignments
